Privacy notice — placeholder draft

This placeholder describes, in plain language, what the MortgageAgent accredited- investor inquiry form collects and how MortgageAgent handles it. The version posted at this URL is the one that controls; later revisions supersede it on publication.

Section 1

What the inquiry form collects

The accredited-investor inquiry form on the /invest page asks for the information we need to evaluate the application and start a conversation with you. Specifically:

  • Name and email — so we can respond to the inquiry and route a follow-up conversation to the right person.
  • Accreditation basis — which of the SEC Rule 501 tests you clear today, so we can confirm accreditation before opening an allocation conversation.
  • Net-worth and income brackets — a coarse, high-level bracket rather than a precise figure, so we can right-size the initial conversation.
  • Free-text notes — anything additional you choose to share about what you want to fund. This field is optional.

We do not collect government identifiers, financial account numbers, or social security numbers on the inquiry form. Any deeper documentation happens later, inside a secured allocation conversation, and on a separate consent basis.

Section 2

How the data is stored

Inquiry submissions route through the MortgageAgent intake pipeline. Each submission is stored as a record on the platform's investor-intake ledger so the investor-relations team can review the application, confirm accreditation, and continue the conversation.

The intake ledger is append-only: once a record is written, only the operator desk can update it (status moves through a small set of states — new, contacted, approved). Your submission is not shared into a marketing automation system and is not appended to any third-party CRM.

Access to the intake ledger is limited to operator-desk credentials with explicit read/write permission. We do not allow broad team-wide access to investor PII.

Section 3

Retention

We keep investor inquiries for the period needed to evaluate the application, complete accreditation review, and answer follow-up questions. Inquiries that do not progress to an allocation are purged from the intake ledger after twelve months. Inquiries that progress to an allocation are retained for the duration of the investor relationship plus the standard retention period required by the underlying transaction records.

You can ask us to delete your inquiry record at any time before that period ends, unless we are legally required to keep it. Requests go to the email address in Section 5 below and we respond within thirty days.

Section 4

Third-party processing

We do not sell or rent investor inquiry data. We do not share it with third parties for advertising. The intake pipeline lives on infrastructure operated by our hosting provider and our database provider; both act as processors on our behalf and are bound by standard data-processing terms.

When we route a follow-up email to you in response to your inquiry, the email is delivered through our transactional-mail provider. The email contains only what the operator desk voluntarily sends and does not include tracking pixels or third-party analytics.

Section 5
